The past few weeks have been pretty exciting. I've been going on excursions with Summer Salt Diving almost weekly, whose boats and experienced divers mean farther, deeper, more interesting and more informed dives. I've been able to visit two separate shipwrecks (both at ~20M) with the help of Summer Salt's accommodating divers who've been friendly enough to mark the sunken ships for me with inflatable buoys. I've also seen two white tip reef sharks, one fairly close and in good visibility, a new experience for me while free-diving.

Additionally, I just acquired a new camera case, which, while it's a little late to record the shipwreck dives and shark sitings, should mean plenty more pictures in the near future. In fact, my first day out with the new case I was able to get a really reasonable shot of a Barnacle Blenny, a good omen in terms of photos to come.

To top it all off I spotted a large hawksbill sea turtle yesterday with my neighbor Matt. It was in the process of eating what looked like a jellyfish at around 6M down, a few hundred meters out along the north shore of Coco. After a few minutes of all of us getting used to each other, it actually let us "pet" it. Of course it was the only day last week that I didn't have my camera with me. Oh well, I'm sure there's plenty to come.
